Full-Time • Automotive Technician / Mechanic • Pay Range: $22-$45 per hour

Job Overview

Performs complex main engine, engine ignition, fuel system, and engine emission control system diagnosis
and repair, to include repair of diesel, gas, and alternative fuel system configurations.
Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with Auto Care Central and factory standards.
The Automotive Technician works with lube and oil filter, transmission service, alignment, computer systems diagnosis, tune-up, brake systems, steering and suspension.
Communicate with the servicer adviser and explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs, which may include other associates and customers as required.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology.

Responsibilities

Five or more years of experience in mechanical/auto repair.
Valid driver's license and the ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent diagnostic skills. Ability to inspect diagnoses and repairing all makes/models of vehicles.
Maintain organized, clean and neat work area.
Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs.
Advanced understanding of under the hood, mechanical, under carriage, brake system and suspension.
Must have Technician Tools.
Ability to Flag 40+ hours per week.
ASE certified preferred but not required.
Team Engagement & Problem solving, Knows status of repair and open to feedback on getting and keeping the repair on schedule for on-time delivery. And willing to help other team members to solve problem.

Physical Requirements

Extensive standing, walking, pushing and reaching.
Need full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping.
Repetitive movement of hands, arms, legs.
May drive a vehicle if needed.
Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
May work outside and be exposed to weather.
Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
